I just rented it on DVD..this film cost ?250,000 to shoot and I am not surprised it took them so long to release it. I didn't like it.

when my site gets it big update v.soon part one of the making of MI will be up there with part 2 to follow shortly.. and then continous parts right up to when the film is finished and believe me it will bne a thousand times more useful than the GFMHB

While I do not plan to look up the genesis of the current pie fight.

I doubt that Arthur C. Clark envisioned the Global communications sattelite as an orbiting conduit for spleen venting.

Although it does seem to be working out quite nicely in that particulair function.

"The INSULTSTAR 5003 Global communications unit, Launched from Phoenix AZ. late in the year 2004; It rapidly became cost effective......."


Actually I hadn't really considered the book idea seriously before; but a seconds consideration should make it obvious that such an undertaking is an awsome goal if it is to be done properly.

Take off the lense cap, Charge the battery, remember to press record, don't swish pan, put the lense cap back on.

After that however, how many individual problems have any one of us encountered?

I lost count so long ago that I have forgotten when I lost count. And lost count of many times that I have lost count.

Software companies can be nightmarish wastes of time.

And who can afford to spend $100.00 dollars every three months for new software in the hopes that this will be the one that interfaces with everything, glitch free.

Even if the learning curve is minimal.

My teeth start to itch every time I receive a download reminder!

All I know is that I am getting a factory something!

May make things better, may make somethings better,we do not know!

Children's coloring books are usually more informative and better bound than your average factory guideboook.

To a certain extent I can understand leaving in certain ambiguities, because to say, "This is the only way to do such and such a thing," has the potential to stifle creativity.


But I saved to buy my first editing program, did not at the time really understand the concept of the video card and thought I was getting a complete package and would be good to go or at least on the way in an hour.

It made sense it was so expensive and the box was so damn heavy everything I needed to edit on computer had to be in there.

Oh the joy of opening a heavy expensive box and discovering that you have in essence an expensive heavy box.

I was on my way all right back down to the computer store to see what I needed next, and next, and next...

And I did no small amount of research first.

Many months and dollars later, I began to doubt my origional premis that I should be able to knock this out in a weekend.

And I had all my clips!
And A working idea of exactlly what I wanted to do. I just wasn't happy with straight VHS editing.

You have to learn your OS, then you have to learn where and how to put in a card, and memory upgrades, then learn the card then any specialised software, and sound, and codecs, and 24 dozen terms 1 in 10 of what you can actually find a consise definition for if at all.

Any one answer has the potential to ask ten more questions.

Perhaps I am the only person to have gone from yes, to what to S**T to F**K in the space of 5 min.. but I doubt it.

I can not tell you how to handel your personal greviences and animosities; I have a few that are real BEAUTS. (no one on this board I can honestly say!)

And I am talking large sums of cash lost. Projects scraped, Launch dates blasted to hell!

I can however say after reading this thread that this petty bickering is beneath us and makes us sound like a bunch of spoiled brats with nothing better to do than bitch.

And I know that isn't true!

I suspect, based on past experience and performance, that if Chance does write a book it will be a damn good one

So the next time you run into an attitude or feel superior just remember that no one knows everything and everyone knows something.

We all have our own style even if it happens to be a collage of other peoples styles.

Creativity is an art not a science and if someone elses idea or comment helps you along. At least thank them and give them credit!

You will feel better about yourself and make them look and feel good as well.

This is a marathon not a sprint. But that does not mean that it isn't fun to run ahead of the pack for a while.

And anyone who has, in my humble opinion, enjoys watching himself get passed from time to time.

Just not passed by.
